Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shankar is a British American artist and a sitarist, is well known for her musical talents. She's the smallest woman and was the first person to receive the British House of Commons shield. Anoushka Shankar is one of the rising stars of India's sitar. She is the student of Ravi Shankar and is also his daughter. Born in London She spent her first few years of her life moving between London and New Delhi. When she was 13, she gave her debut performance in New Delhi. Then she relocated into Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha's career as a performer and recorder is impressive, despite her young age. She performs regularly together with her dad, and has done so for many years. She released her debut album in 1998. dropped Anourag as her first album as a solo artist. The album was titled the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years following. Alongside performing at every major venue and venues, she also has a long stage career. Anoushka Shankar's professional life isn't only limited to performing in music. Bapi The Love of My Life is an illustrated biographie that she composed in 2002. Anoushka is a native of England, but spent most of her youth in between London and Delhi. Then she moved to California and attended high school. She began learning music when she was nine years old and was a sitar player in celebration of the 75th anniversary her father's birth in Delhi just four years after. Anoushka's father toured around across the world with her and she also gained a variety of experience. When she was still in her teens, Anoushka performed at Carnegie Hall at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD concert. Her musicianship and talent have been acknowledged by the British parliament as among the finest in Asian Arts.
